Bird

Bailey lives in a rundown tenement in Kent with her father, who has never really grown up; she encounters a curious man called Bird, searching for his own family.

Bird is a story woven with the experiences of children who become parents before they've grown up. There's a believable realism to the adventures and plight of the characters, but amid the squalor and mayhem, it's the magical, more mythic elements that allow this production to soar. The memorable parts of the soundtrack form an unsophisticated playlist with karaoke elements. That's just one of the elements presented without judgement or shame; it's love and forgiveness that count. The moment you doubt whether you can fly, you cease forever to be able to do it.
