Karate Kid: Legends

After moving from Beijing to New York with his mother, Kung Fu prodigy Li Fong attracts the attention of the local karate champion and must compete in a tournament.

Who knew a martial arts showdown could be so entertaining? "Karate Kid: Legends" surprises with its blend of action and heart. Karate and Kung Fu is no surprise except that it is diverting. The city scenes are beautifully shot, capturing the feel of the urban jungle while managing to stay mostly grounded amidst a city of skyscrapers. The narrative/story builds steadily toward the final scene, taking us to a rooftop with extraordinary views. When the fight comes to you, you'd better be ready to fight back.
