Colin, an unassuming young man who lives with his parents, is intrigued by Ray, an impossibly handsome biker with few words or preliminaries they enter into a BDSM relationship.

"Pillion" reveals itself as a real love story between two men who play out contrasting roles as a couple. The film may reveal itself as a forum for couples counsellors as the unfamiliar context may be confronting, raising issues of boundaries, esteem, consent, and coercion. It's a story of learning about oneself, with a fine line navigated by the writer/director. Raw pain and pleasure are balanced while remaining non-judgemental, as the plot traverses the separation of sex as a physical act, holding it apart from the more tenderly expressed emotion of love.
