Inspector Stoppard and Constable Stalker work to solve the backstage murder of a Hollywood director who was planning to bring "The Mousetrap" play to the screen.

See How They Run is a playful take on the classic ensemble whodunnit. Thankfully, the genre isn't tired. The 1950s are charmingly recreated and the plot is balanced to keep the audience guessing about who might be responsible. The most entertaining element is the casting, the actors fully and delightfully inhabit their roles with a sincerity that supports some very funny physical humour, even as the action tilts towards the preposterous. Did the butler do it?
