The Bikeriders

A chronicle of the early biking culture of the Chicago Outlaws motorcycle club, drawn from the book of photojournalist Danny Lyon.

True to its photographic source material, "The Bikeriders" presents a stylised version of motorcycle gangs laden with atmosphere and artistic detail, where the cinematography captures the chrome, leather and club colours. There's not a lot of plot to sit with as men play tough guys without much to say. It's surprising to discover that at the heart of the movie is a love story, along with multiple stories of rites, rituals and facades, all moodily played out by the handsome cast.
