The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes

Action Adventure Drama

During the 10th Hunger Games, Coriolanus Snow mentors a young tribute from the 12th district.

The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes is a long-winded, unnecessary prequel to the Hunger Games franchise. It's self-indulgent, boring and contains none of the charm of the previous instalments. The cast is more than capable, but they seem to be working against each other instead of in collaboration to bring the disjointed plot to life. The lack of chemistry between the leads is very apparent, and the needless musical numbers do the already bloated running time no favours. Off-key.
