The Wall
Drama Thriller War
Two American soldiers are trapped by an Iraqi sniper.
"The Wall" tries to paint a terrifying picture of a combat zone, but fails to nail its target. After a tense opening sequence spurred by idiotic human decision-making, there are long periods where absolutely nothing happens. Our leading man is excellent, as is the use of silence in the score, but the lack of tangible plot development makes for a very languid viewing experience that is not aided by the faceless villain and open ending. Balls to the wall.
