"Top Gun: Maverick" is an action-packed thrill ride. This production is a love letter to the original film, deftly using nostalgic flashbacks to pull on your heartstrings and build a sense of drama. It's nice to see some familiar faces popping up, but the story is propelled by a new team of elite pilots clamouring for their shot at becoming team leader. The fancy new aircraft, along with a plethora of gravity-defying, jaw-dropping air stunts will keep you on the edge of your seat. Goodness gracious, great balls of fire.
