Wolf Man

While barricaded inside his father’s remote Oregon farmhouse with his wife and daughter, a man tries to fight back his transformation into something truly horrifying.

We've come a long way from the trope of a screaming woman who breaks her ankle as she runs from terror. The female lead is strong and ingenious, devising mechanical repairs and traps even while she's unable to operate a short-wave radio. As is required by the myth of "Wolf Man", this effort delivers generous measures of scary and gory. It adds to the fable by threading the storyline with the redemptive power of love and shedding some of the folklore. A hairy situation.
