There's Still Tomorrow
Drama History
Set in 1940s post-war Italy, Delia is straining against the expectations put upon her as a wife and mother.
In modern times, the term 'coercive control' is used to name the behaviours often underpinning spousal violence. That framing didn't exist in the time "There’s Still Tomorrow" is set, however, audiences will recognise it and recoil when they see it on screen. The film is produced in black and white, providing an authentic look for its era. The lead actor holds attention and is central to almost every scene; she's also the production's director and lifts the tone from what could've been very grim and delivers a triumphant final scene. Tomorrow begins today.
